A WEDDING CAKE WITH A DIFFERENCE
The wedding cake of Thilini & Hasith on the 19th of January 2013 at the Hilton Hotel Auckland , New Zealand was a cake with a difference. It was a 5 tiered cake iced in Ivory Rolled fondant with shades of Ivory Sugar crafted roses & orchids. It was constructed with alot of precision & designed with Hasith's Family. They wanted the Wedding cake to have a Wow factor. It had Fibre optic twinkling lights on each tier & had Organza fabric draping down like flowing water down the rockery. At the cake cutting ceremony liquid nitrogen (dry Ice) created a mist giving the whole cake a special ambience.
Overall the Wedding cake looked amazing & definitely displayed the wow factor & would be remembered into the years to come by the Bride & groom & their 350 guests at the wedding.
Fresco Foods was very happy to have been commisioned to create this cake for Thilini & Hasith.
